Located in the North Terminal of Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha, Qatar. Specifically, it is in the new northern expansion area, overlooking The Orchard Garden. Access / Pricing

To access the Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden, you need to be traveling in Qatar Airways First Class, Business Class (Elite, Comfort & Classic), or oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members. If you’re flying Business Class (Lite) or Economy Class, you can purchase access at the check-in counters, preferred travel agents, or Qatar Airways’ sales offices.

As you can see in our provided example, we have an upcoming booking next year for business class tickets via Avios points from Washington DC to Kuala Lumpur. While it’s uncertain if the policy regarding lounge access via award tickets has changed (doubtful), these appear to be the costs to access the lounge. Qatar Airways seems to be less tech-savvy, as evidenced by some broken image links and the lack of information about The Garden lounge in the north part of the airport. Essentially, if you want to check the pricing, you need to enter your booking reference number and then access the lounge page from there.

When it comes to pricing, it varies depending on your ticket class and membership status. For Economy Class passengers, the cost is typically around $100-$150 for a day pass, but it is best to check directly with Qatar Airways for the most accurate and up-to-date pricing. Make sure you read the purchase conditions carefully! Nothing is worse than having the expectation of entering the lounge only to be denied at the lounge entrance. Believe us, situations like that can always happen so it is always best to have all your bases covered.

Here are some of the facilities you can expect from the lounge:

Shower (Mens) | SHARIFF MAZLAN

A key highlight for us were the showers. While we’re not certain about the exact number of showers in this lounge compared to the Business lounge in the South terminal, we were both able to shower immediately upon walking up to the desk. From what we recall, the showers in The Garden also felt more spacious. Plus, we absolutely loved that all the toiletries were provided by Diptyque, leaving us feeling and smelling wonderfully fresh.

The Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden is designed to cater to the diverse needs of every traveler, ensuring a comfortable and convenient journey.

Dining

The dining options at the Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden are a true highlight, offering a variety of culinary delights to suit every palate. The main dining area, located in the East Wing, features a buffet with both hot and cold dishes, including sushi, salads, and a selection of international cuisine. For those who prefer a more relaxed dining experience, the East Wing also has coffee and pastry stations, as well as a bar serving a range of cocktails.
The West Wing isn’t left out either, boasting its own coffee and pastry station and a bar for drinks, ensuring guests have easy access to refreshments no matter where they are in the lounge.

Additionally, the lounge offers à la carte dining options, allowing guests to order from a menu with a selection of gourmet dishes. The dining area overlooks The Orchard Garden, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop while you enjoy your meal.

The staff at The Garden is exceptionally prompt in bringing made-to-order food and drinks, and in clearing plates once you’re done eating or drinking. A few staff members are particularly bubbly, and Aroob even struck up a casual conversation with the chef during our visit.

First Timer Tips

Here are some tips to help first-time visitors make the most of their time at the Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden:

Maximize Sleep Quality: Bring earplugs, an eye mask, a change of clothes, and a compact day bag if you plan an extended stay.

Timing Your Visit: Try to avoid the “superpeak hours” of 11:00 PM – 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM, as the lounge can get quite busy during these times.

Ultra High-Speed Internet: The lounge boasts extensive Wi-Fi coverage that is notably fast, perfect for catching up on work or streaming.

Showers: Freshen up with the available shower facilities, ideal for long layovers.

Navigating the Lounge: The entrance to the lounge is discreet, located near the elevator by the Louis Vuitton store. Follow the signs for gates C, D, and E if you’re coming from the main terminal.

Quiet Areas: Utilize the 24 quiet rooms for a peaceful retreat, especially if you need to rest or work without distractions.

Our Thoughts

Our three-hour stay at The Garden was nothing short of delightful. We were fortunate not to experience the usual midnight crowd surge, which allowed us to freshen up with a shower immediately upon arrival—a true blessing. On our previous visit to Doha, we used the main Business Class lounge at the South, where the crowd surge made accessing a shower room quite difficult. This time, whether due to the lounge being relatively new or just good timing, the traffic was perfect. There was just the right amount of people to avoid any struggle for seating, long waits for food, or limited access to other facilities.

The lounge’s location in the north expansion of the airport is also fantastic. The Orchard, right outside, offers a beautiful nature stroll, accompanied by nearby shopping boutiques. We absolutely loved The Garden and will make it our top choice of lounge when flying Business Class with Qatar Airways.
