Our Unforgettable Honeymoon in Aruba: First Trip as Newlyweds

Summary

Aruba holds an incredibly special place in our hearts. It was the destination where we celebrated our first adventure together as a married couple – our honeymoon! Even though the pandemic was starting to loosen its grip, we still had to quarantine upon arrival. But that minor hiccup didn’t dampen our spirits, and once we were free to roam, we had an absolute blast!

Our first stop was the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. This unique hotel boasts access to Flamingo Island, a private haven where flamingos and iguanas wander freely. Spending time with these fascinating creatures in such a serene setting was truly magical.

Next, we ventured south to experience the island’s only overwater bungalows. It was an unforgettable stay, made even more special by the friendly staff who quickly became like friends. The serenity and luxury of the bungalows created memories we’ll cherish forever.

Back in the central part of Aruba, we embarked on our first excursion – horseback riding along the beach towards Conchi, Aruba’s natural pool. The experience was both thrilling and picturesque.

The following day, we hopped on ATVs and UTVs to explore the northern part of the island. We visited historical sites, marveled at the natural arch, and took in stunning views from the California Lighthouse. It was an exciting way to discover the island’s rugged beauty.

We wrapped up our honeymoon with a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba on the island’s western coast. The property was simply breathtaking, and we fell head over heels for its elegance and charm.

Overall

Aruba will forever be etched in our memories as the place where our married life began. It’s an island that’s both easy to navigate and packed with diverse attractions and landscapes. The food was a highlight – we highly recommend venturing beyond the resorts and exploring local restaurants for some truly mouthwatering seafood.

If you’re looking for a honeymoon destination that combines relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty, Aruba is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return someday and relive the magic of our first trip as newlyweds.
