Pura Vida & Best Friends: Our Costa Rican Adventure
Summary
Back in February 2023, we embarked on an epic 7-day journey to Costa Rica with a group of our closest friends. It was a trip filled with laughter, unforgettable experiences, and a whole lot of “Pura Vida” vibes.
We kicked off our adventure in Jaco Beach, where we spent two glorious days soaking up the sun and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. Long walks on the beach, dips in the ocean, and plenty of delicious local food were the perfect way to start our vacation.
Next, we headed inland to La Fortuna, a town nestled at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Here, the pace picked up as we embraced a series of thrilling activities.
ATV Riding: We explored the rugged terrain on ATVs, getting our adrenaline pumping and taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
White Water Rafting: We navigated the exhilarating rapids of the Pacuare River, paddling our way through lush rainforest and experiencing the power of nature firsthand.
Mistico Park & Ziplining: We soared through the rainforest canopy on ziplines, feeling the wind in our hair and enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the incredible biodiversity below.
While we loved the adrenaline rush of our adventures, we also made sure to include some much-needed relaxation in our itinerary. Soaking in natural hot springs was a highlight, and we even spent Super Bowl Sunday at Baldi Hot Springs, cheering on our team (Go Birds!) while surrounded by stunning scenery. We also took time to visit the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall, a true natural wonder.
No trip to La Fortuna is complete without exploring the charming town center. We wandered the streets, indulging in delicious Costa Rican cuisine, sipping on aromatic coffee, and savoring locally-made chocolate.
Overall
Our Costa Rica trip was a resounding success! We made memories that will last a lifetime with some of our favorite people. And while we experienced a lot, there are still so many places we want to see in Costa Rica. We’re already dreaming of our next adventure in this beautiful country!
